I'm looking for a cheap UMPC to handle some file management. I need to copy files off of Compact Flash cards to an external Harddrive (then copy them onto another external HDD for backup). Literally that's all I'm looking to do. If I can play h.264 video, or preview images all the better, but cost is a major concern so I can forgo these luxuries as long as it can do it's main task of file management. I'm a photographer and have a several month back-country trip coming up where access to computers will be sporadic at best, and while I have an EEEpc (1000HA) I've used in the past, I need something significantly lighter and smaller for this trip. So I just need a device that will allow me to offload my CF cards to a HDD, and then back up the images to another HDD as well. I'm all for used items to save money assuming nice fresh replacement batteries can still be sourced. I'm in the UK if that makes any difference.

I was recently given a Compal Jax10. It is in new condition, but it is missing its battery and power supply.

I know this tech is "old school" and it maybe hard to find parts for- but I am wondering if anyone out there can help me locate a battery and power supply. I am in the US and we don't get any of the fun toys here. I know I might have to buy things from overseas and am okay with that.

So- if anyone can direct me where to buy the battery- or can give me the specs- an image of the battery with the voltage and numbers on it....... I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!

I want to get this up and running - it just looks like a neat piece of tech.....
